Facial Aftercare Instructions

  • Do not apply face makeup for 24 hours after your facial. Let your skin breathe.
  • Avoid sweating, heavy working out, spray tanning of the face & chlorine for 24 hours. These are things that can cause irritation and possibly breakouts while your skin is freshly exfoliated.
  • Avoid any brow/facial waxing for 24 hours after your facial.
  • Avoid physical exfoliants/Retinol for at least 3 -5 days following your treatment.
  • Stay out of direct sun exposure for at least 5-7 days following your treatment. If you must be in the sun, it is crucial that you are reapplying a face sunscreen of 30 SPF or higher every 2 hours. Avoid tanning beds, saunas, or steam rooms for 7 days after your treatment.

Dermaplaning Aftercare Instructions

  • Do not apply face makeup for a full 24 hours. Let your skin breathe. Your skin may feel slight windburn/itchiness for the first 12 to 24 hours, this is normal and it will subside.
  • Avoid sweating, heavy working out, saunas/steam rooms, chlorine/swimming pools or spray tanning of the face for 24 hours. These are things that can cause irritation and possibly breakouts while your skin is freshly exfoliated.
  • Avoid physical exfoliants, AHAS or BHAS, Retinol, Tretinoin / Retinoids for 5–7 days following your treatment.
  • Avoid any brow/facial waxing for the next 24 hours.
  • Stay out of direct sun exposure for up to 5-7 days following your treatment. If you must be in the sun, it is crucial that you are reapplying a face sunscreen of 30 SPF or higher every 2 hours. Avoid tanning beds, hot saunas or steam rooms for 5-7 days after your treatment.
  • Keep your skincare routine gentle for the next 3-5 days. Use a gentle cleanser, keep your skin hydrated & apply SPF.

Chemical Peel Aftercare Instructions

  • Avoid putting face makeup on for the first 24 hours.
  • It is crucial to avoid heat/working out/excessively sweating/saunas/steam rooms for the first 24–48 hours.
  • Avoid any exfoliating products (Retinol, Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acids, facial scrubs) for the next 5–7 days.
  • Avoid any type of facial waxing for a full week.
  • Avoiding direct sun exposure is a must. Do not expose skin to direct sun for a full 2 weeks after a peel.
  • Applying a face SPF of 30 or higher is crucial every day after a chemical peel. Reapply every 2 hours if you know you will be outside the majority of the day.
  • When your skin does start flaking or peeling, do not pick or scrub off any peeling skin. Let it be for the next week and just use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer - keep the skin hydrated.
  • Follow any aftercare product recommendations that your Esthetician provides you with very carefully.
